Europeans Armed With Rich Currencies Invade Miami, South Florida

With the weak American Dollar anticipated to strengthen leading up to the U.S. Presidential election in November, Miami tourism officials are expecting record number of foreign visitors - and consumers - coming from Europe this winter season to take advantage of their rich currency.

'We're on sale -- basically 50 percent off -- because of the weaker dollar,'' Bill Talbert, president and chief executive of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, told the Miami Herald.
